Precision Scales
Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch recently supplied five sets of precision scales to CSL’s manufacturing plant in Broadmeadows, Victoria for weighing high accuracy volumes of chemicals used in the manufacture of their vaccines.
Laboratory scales are normally used for high accuracy weighing applications, but in this case, the high weighing capacities necessitated the use of these industrial precision scales. Four of the precision scales have a weighing capacity of 50kg while a smaller unit weights up to 10kg in increments of 1g.
All the precision scales are fitted with a stainless steel platform and were supplied with NATA Certificates listing achieved weighing accuracy and repeatability to ensure the precision scales conformed to the client’s high accuracy requirements of 10,000 weighing divisions. The precision scales are fitted to portable trolleys to allow them to be moved to the various areas where the chemicals need to be weighed.
