Accuweigh’s onboard truck scales use two PM Onboard heavy duty loadcells fitted under the hinges of the tipper with a pressure transducer fitted into the tippers hydraulic ram. This load cell and transducer combination achieves very good accuracy and repeatability and is a very cost effective solution to alleviating potential overloading on tipper trucks.
The tipper trucks were supplied by Brisbane Isuzu with the onboard truck scales fitted prior to delivery of the trucks to BCC. The installation of the onboard truck scales was very straightforward with approx one day required to complete each install, including full testing and calibration.
