Industrial Scales Ensure Order Integrity for Seafood Supplier.

Industrial Scales

These industrial scales are used to compare the actual weights of prepared client orders against the shipping invoices to ensure all ordered products are fully accounted for before the cartons are loaded into the delivery trucks at the Bay Fish Seafoods plant in Nerangba.

Michael Clarke, from Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch, cleverly designed the industrial scales into a roller conveyor frame to eliminate the double handling usually associated with check-weighing client orders, saving valuable time and effort for the packing staff.

For this industrial scales application, two sets of weigh bars were mounted under a reinforced frame housing the conveyor rollers being used to transport completed orders to the despatch area.  A digital weight indicator is then used to display the total gross weight of the cartons on a large easy to view display.

Accuweigh’s industrial scales solution cost less than $4,000 installed (including the roller conveyor) and solved Bay Fish Seafood’s need to ensure the integrity of orders being despatched to their valued clients.

Accuweigh Pty Ltd is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all mainland states. Our sales teams have extensive experience in all types of weighing applications and are only too eager to assist clients with their particular needs in industrial scales applications.
