A South Australian hay supplier is using an Industrial Metal Detection Head to ensure their processed bales of hay are not contaminated by foreign metal objects.
Accuweigh’s West Australian branch supplied the Industrial Metal Detection Head to SP Hay in South Australia to replace existing metal equipment that was destroyed in a fire at SP’s factory during 2008.
SP Hay is one of the largest Australian exporters of hay to Japan and their Quality Assurance program requires all hay destined for export is scanned by Industrial Metal Detection Equipment to ensure it contains no metal contaminants. The supplied Metal Detection Head was retrofitted to the client’s existing conveyor system.
To cater for the large bales of compressed hay, an oversize Metal Detection Head was supplied from a local Australian manufacturer.
