Industrial Load Cells
Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch recently supplied industrial load cells and load cell mounting kits to ServiceWorks in Melbourne for fitting under a container inverter at Prograin’s Laverton plant to enable it to perform as shipping container scales.
Four Flintec RC3 industrial load cells of 30t capacity were fitted to the container inverter for a capacity of 32t with full trade approval. The new loading process has the filled shipping containers being weighed while still on the inverter - eliminating the need to manoeuvre the shipping filled container to a separate trade approved weighbridge for weighing.
The empty containers are loaded onto the container inverter by forklift and then tilted by hydraulic rams so that delivery trucks can fill grain at the desired angle. When full, the container doors are closed before the container is lowered back to the rest position for weighing the net content of grain.
The operator then enters the order details into a Rinstrum R420 digital weight indicator which then prints out the required weight tickets listing weight, order number, time and date.
