Accuweigh manufactured a low profile platform scale to fit the dimensions of the existing scale pit and also ensured the platform scale’s deck was level with the surrounding floor to avoid potential safety issues in this busy walkway.
An Avery E1005 digital weight indicator with a high visibility display was fitted to display the weight readings and to alleviate disputes over patient weights, a printer was also supplied to enable a printed record of the weight reading to be obtained for each patient.
The platform scale has a capacity of 400kg with 0.1kg increments using 4 x 250kg load cells fitted under the galvanised steel deck.
