Inductrial Scales
Accuweigh’s Brisbane branches recently installed heavy industrial scales for weighing sludge by-product generated at both the Mackay North and Mackay South waste treatment plants.
The heavy industrial scales are included into the design of large hoppers of 120t and 60t capacity using 4 x Flintec 30t industrial load cells on each connected to Rinstrum R5000 digital weight indicators mounted inside stainless steel control boxes.
The waste sludge is fed into the heavy industrial scales by conveyor and then an auger/conveyor combination empties the sludge from the scales into waiting trucks which transport the waste by-product to local market gardeners and farmers to improve soil conditions.
These heavy industrial scales play an important part in the treatment process by not only tracking the volumes of waste product produced but by also ensuring the trucks transporting the waste are not overloaded and potentially liable for overloading fines.
