Weighbridge
Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch recently installed and commissioned a 26 metre weighbridge for weighing rubble being supplied to SA’s Northern Expressway project. The workload on this weighbridge is very high with trucks being weighed every 35 seconds during each 9 hours of daily operation.
The weighbridge foundations and deck were poured at Penrice Soda’s Angaston Quarry just before Xmas ready for fitting of the weighbridge load cells and final commissioning in late January. The in-ground weighbridge is mounted in a shallow pit with the weighbridge deck close to ground level for fast and easier access by trucks using the weighbridge.
The weighbridge will soon be fitted with a Driver Control Station (DCS) running AASoftware’s Weighbridge Software for processing all weighbridge transactions and to supply full product reporting by truck, product and destination.
