An x-ray inspection machine was recently commissioned for inspecting Packaged Foods in Port Lincoln.
This latest x-ray inspection machine is being used to ensure food integrity by eliminating both organic and metallic contaminants.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch, the x-ray inspection machine is inspecting a variety of products including a variety of foods packaged in foil pouches. The client’s minimal specification required an inspection system capable of detecting metal contaminants, but Accuweigh’s offer of a competitively priced x-ray inspection machine was accepted due to its ability to also detect organic contaminants such as stones and pebbles as well as other items like bones. Many metal detection machines can detect metal contaminants through foil packaging but overall speed and detection accuracy is usually compromised.
