Weighbridge testing was completed by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch after the existing weighbridge load cells had reached the end of their working lives and were replaced by Flintec load cells. To ensure the weighbridge complied with government regulations, weighbridge testing was performed using certified test masses.
The tested weighbridge belongs to Koppers Coal Tar Products at Mayfield in NSW and is used for weighing tankers of coal tar entering and leaving the site. Six new Flintec weighbridge cells were fitted to the in-ground metal deck weighbridge which measures 18m x 3m and has a capacity of 50,000kg.
After testing, the weighbridge was then fully calibrated and re-certified to maintain its trade approval. The weighbridge is linked to a recently installed Driver Control Station from Ultrahawke for tracking all truck and product movements and for generating management reports.
