Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch relocated an unused concrete deck weighbridge from Penrith to Cemex’s Coffs Harbour quarry to replace an existing weighbridge that was nearing the end of its working life.
Modifications were made to the weighbridge foundations to accommodate the slightly shorter weighbridge deck and the aging A&D weighbridge load cells were replaced by six Flintec RC3 stainless steel weighbridge load cells. The existing A&D 4323 digital weight indicator and Rinstrum 6600 remote display were retained from the original weighbridge on site.
The weighbridge deck and load cells were installed during the weekend to allow quarrying operations to restart on Monday morning. The entire operation was organised by Accuweigh, including cranes at both ends, transportation of the weighbridge deck and civils modifications.
