Three sets of silo scales were certified for trade use by Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch at the BuySmart Ag Services depot in Moree, NSW.
BuySmart Ag charges clients for the weight of product sold from the silos as displayed by the trade approved A&D 4326B digital weight indicators.
The scale certifications were requested by the client to ensure the silo scales are weighing accurately and within legal requirements. Recently amended Government Legislation puts the onus for ensuring compliance with Government Trade Regulations squarely onto the owner of the scales and weighing equipment.
Performing the silo Scale Certification required the complete removal of the out feed conveyor systems located under the silos to allow fitting of the steel frames used for holding the certified test masses. After certifying was completed, the conveyor and auger systems were carefully placed in position to ensure no interference with silo weighing accuracy.
Each silo is fitted with 4 x 30t capacity Schenck industrial load cells for a silo weighing capacity of 60t each.
