A portable steel weighbridge was recently supplied for weighing pallet trailers containing air freight in South Australia.
Installed by Accuweigh’s Port Adelaide branch, this steel deck weighbridge measures nine metres long by three metres wide.
Accuweigh’s low profile steel weighbridge was ideal for mounting into a shallow pit to keep the weighing deck at ground level for easy access by tractors towing the pallet trailers. With a weighing capacity of fifteen tonnes, the steel weighbridge deck is supported on four heavy duty load cells of ten tonne capacity each.
The portable steel weighbridge also tracks the weight of freight being loaded into each aircraft, by printing a hardcopy of each pallet trailer’s weight. The weight readings are also transmitted to a large digit remote display mounted beside the weighbridge for reading by the tractor driver.
