Pallet scales are being used for weighing wheelie bins containing biohazardous waste collected from the medical industry. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch in Springvale North, the pallet scales were supplied to one of Stericorp’s waste collections centres in Adelaide.
An Australian Made Trudec pallet scale manufactured by A&D Mercury was supplied along with two metal ramps to allow for easy access for the bins to be weighed. An A&D 4323 digital weight indicator generates the weight readings and also transmits data to a host PC for invoices to be generated based on the weight of waste processed over the pallet scales.
The pallet scales were bolted to the concrete floor for immediate use, but eventually will be pit mounted with the weighing platform at ground level for easier bin access. A&D’s pallet scales are approved to allow legal for trade weighing applications.
Accuweigh has an extensive range of pallet and platform scales available to suit all weighing applications. Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches across Australia providing sales and service support on all pallet scales.
