A Multihead Weigher and packaging system was recently installed for packaging soup mixes and croutons at a high profile bakery in Western Australia.
Suitable for weighing almost any dry product, this AccuPak Multihead Weigher and packaging system is ideal for packaging confectionery, bakery products, cereals, dried fruit, seeds, chips and pet foods in varying shapes and sizes.
The AW-M14A Multihead Weigher utilises fourteen individual weigh buckets with stepper motor gate operation for faster and better regulated dumping sequences. This is due to less mechanical influences on the sensitive weighing electronics than gate operations using compressed air. The client also purchased a bucket elevator to feed the products into the Multihead Weigher plus a large working platform for ease of access for cleaning and maintenance staff.
Accuweigh’s Willetton branch commissioned the fourteen head Multihead Weigher which has all food contact surfaces manufactured in stainless steel and suitable for use in wash down areas. Staggered dumping avoids blockages of the transfer tube in this Multihead Weigher which also features minimal exposed machine components to prevent product build-up.
An AccuPak VFFS Packaging Machine was also supplied and mounted under the Multihead Weigher to accept the weighed portions directly into the forming tubes of the VFFS machine.
