Delta Electricity recently released a large tender for scale service and maintenance which Accuweigh’s Sydney branch successfully won.

The scale service contract is for servicing and maintenance of scales installed at Delta Electricity’s electricity generation power stations at Mt Piper and Wallerawang in New South Wales. The scales to be regularly serviced and maintained by Accuweigh include:

  • 5 x Weighbridges
  • 1 x Heavy Capacity Check Bin Weigher
  • 10 x Belt Weighers

Many of the stringent scale service requirements Delta included in the tender relate to ability to comply to fast response times in the event that any of the weighing equipment was to fail. Accuweigh’s NSW branches easily complied with these requirements as their proven track record of a 24 hr / 7 day / 365 days a year operation along with strict OH&S standards being met; all made the decision to award the tender to Accuweigh a straightforward process. The ongoing scale service and maintenance includes regular QA inspections plus calibration and certification of the various weighing equipment and Delta’s test weights.

Accuweigh’s Sydney branch supplied and installed two of the weighbridges at Delta’s Wallerawang site a few years ago and the other three weighbridges have all been recently upgraded by Accuweigh with these components to automate Delta’s management of the weighbridges:

  • Updated Weighbridge Load Cells
  • New Digital Weighing Indicators
  • Weighbridge Software Packages
  • Driver Control Stations

Accuweigh’s service technicians are trained and fully qualified to NMI and work cover standards to service and certify the varied range of Delta’s weighing equipment to insure all work is completed efficiently and economically, the Sydney service department currently employ seven technicians. Other high calibre organisations taking advantage of Accuweigh’s NSW service department support includes RTA heavy vehicle inspection stations and the majority of Boral’s metro and country sites.
