LOADER SCALES MINIMISES WASTAGE FOR BORAL ASPHALT

Loader Scales

Loader Scales were recently installed onto a front end loader owned by Boral Asphalt’s Williamstown plant in Victoria by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch.

The Loader Scales are being used to accurately measure aggregate into trucks for transportation to locations where asphalt repairs are required.

Before the Loader Scales were fitted, the amount of aggregate loaded into each truck was based on rough estimations, but this regularly resulted in the need to dispose of excess aggregate after the repairs had been completed. The Loader Scales now enable the operators to accurately measure the total weight of aggregate loaded into each truck.

The 8000i Loader Scales have an internal database for tracking the total weight of aggregate used on each job; even when spread over multiple trucks over different days.  At the end of each shift, all weight records from the Loader Scales can be downloaded to a PC.

As well as weighing in static mode requiring the operator to pause momentarily while each bucket is being raised, Accuweigh’s 8000i Loader Scales also have the ability to weigh dynamically while the bucket is being raised for emptying into the truck.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches across Australia fulfilling all clients’ needs in industrial weighing applications.
