Load Cells have been fitted to a feed mill weigh hopper for the DA Hall Feedmill in Millmerran, Queensland.
The Load Cells were found to be faulty after a complaint of weighing errors which was remedied by fitting four new Load Cells to the hopper.
A new set of Kelba industrial Load Cells were installed after the new Load Cell mounts were welded into position under the weigh hopper. Accuweigh’s Geebung branch initiated the repairs as the originally fitted Load Cells were no longer an economical proposition due to lower manufacturing costs of newer design Load Cells.
After the Kelba KA5000Z Load Cells were fitted, the weigh hopper was tested and calibrated to 5,000kg using certified test weights to ensure accurate weight readings would be attained. These Load Cells have a combined weighing capacity of 20,000kg for a huge safety margin to avoid instances of potential overloading in future.
