Accuweigh’s industrial scales are weighing nuts delivered to Macadamia Australia’s processing plant at Dunoon in Northern NSW.
The Industrial Scales are trade approved and comprise a large hopper fitted with heavy duty load cells and a digital weight indicator.
The Industrial Scales were supplied by Accuweigh’s Brisbane South branch and configured for a weighing capacity of 6,000kg in divisions of 2kg. Local growers deliver the macadamia nuts to the processing plant and receive payment for the volume of nuts weighed on the Industrial Scales.
The client modified the hopper’s legs to accept the 4 x 2t heavy duty load cells and load cell mounting kits which were then bolted to the concrete slab to ensure the Industrial Scales were rigidly mounted. The load cell cables were run in flexible conduit to the summing box and then onto the Accuweigh 5000 digital weight indicator to generate the Industrial Scales weight readings.
A serial printer is connected to the Industrial Scales for printing legal for trade weight tickets to ensure hard copies of grower deliveries of the macadamia nuts are retained.
