A weighing pallet jack suitable for use in hazardous areas was recently supplied to Proserpine Sugar Mill in North Queensland.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane, the weighing pallet jack is fitted with an Intrinisically Safe (IS) weight indicator for weighing duties in classified Hazardous Areas of the sugar mill.
The digital weight indicator fitted to Accuweigh’s weighing pallet jack is fully certified for use in Hazardous Areas and is powered by a rechargeable battery pack mounted ina sealed compartment in the pallet jack’s headstock. The battery is fitted with specific charging connections to ensure the battery can only be recharged by the supplied battery charger which is stationed outside the Hazardous Area.
The weighing pallet jack has four one tonne load cells mounted directly to the pallet jack’s chassis with the digital weight indicator configured for a 1500kg weighing capacity by 0.5 kg divisions.
