An environmentally friendly wheel wash is currently being installed for cleaning wheels and tyres of trucks before they exit a landfill site near Ipswich in Queensland.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s North Brisbane branch, the wheel wash was configured for using recycled dam water to eliminate the need for town water.
Accuweigh's AccuWash wheel wash system was chosen by the client as the most effective and economical wheel wash solution offered. The wheel wash will be used to remove soil, mud and other debris from tyres, wheels and underbody of trucks before they enter local streets.
Accuweigh’s wheel wash is available with many environmentally friendly devices to minimise water usage while also improving wash performance, including:
• Powered Scraper to remove sludge after each wheel wash operation
• Hydrocyclone Solids Separator to remove solids from wheel wash water
• Centrifugal Pump to maintain correct water levels from external sources
Accuweigh’s Wheel Wash Product Manager, Gordon Wills, and Service Manager, Jason Bailey, took a personal interest in this project and assisted in the unloading and positioning of the wheel wash as part of managing the installation and commissioning processes.
Accuweigh can also provide integrated Traffic Lights to control vehicular access to the wheel wash as well as fully prefabricated Pedestrian Handrails and Gates around sludge pits and along wheel wash driveways for increased pedestrian safety.
Accuweigh has eight branches across all mainland states providing sales and service support on all wheel wash systems.
