Two Driver Control Stations (DCS) were commissioned during the installation of a steel deck weighbridge at Card King’s Ingleburn recycling facility in Sydney’s South.
Driver Control Stations provide an easy to use interface to allow truck drivers to perform data entry duties eliminating the need for a weighbridge operator. Accuweigh’s Driver Control Stations are full manufactured in Australia using high quality components fitted into either powder coated or stainless steel weatherproof housings suitable for external use.
In Card King’s application, both a master and slave Driver Control Station were used to cater for the bi-direction traffic flow over the weighbridge with both DCS’s interfaced directly to the clients own network to allow all captured data to also be made available to existing invoicing/management reporting programs.
Accuweigh’s Driver Control Stations are based on a ROC (Rugged Operations Computer) that is fully sealed to eliminate ingress of dust and water in industrial applications. The ROC’s highly efficient design uses a thick alloy housing as a heat sink to totally eliminate the need for external cooling by air vents and/or fans which are the primary cause of PC failure in dusty environments.
A Dallas tag reader automatically identifies truck and driver details with the driver then stepped through a series of visual prompts to make relevant selections from pre-loaded data. This simple process eliminates confusion during data entry by only allowing the driver to select from relevant selections appropriate to that truck’s operation.
