Accuweigh’s Driver Control Station allows unattended weighbridge operation on Thiess John Holland’s Airport Link Tunnel Project.
After relocating an existing weighbridge to the tunnel site, Accuweigh’s QWM branch fitted a Driver Control Station to allow the weighbridge to accurately control the weighing of all trucks without the assistance of a weighbridge operator.
The Driver Control Station controls traffic flow over the unattended weighbridge using a set of traffic lights and a Dallas Tag Reader to identify each truck as it stops for weighing. The truck’s gross weight, ID and tare weight are then relayed to a PC running AASoftware’s Ticket Aid Weighbridge Software to record all weighing transactions to allow cartage fees to be paid to the individual truck operators.
For the Brisbane Tunnel Project only a basic DCS was required as all trucks were carting the same material to the same destination. Accuweigh manufactures a wide range of Driver Control Stations to allow unattended weighbridge operation on most weighbridge applications with high end models fitted with full colour active touch screens to allow drivers to quickly and easily select/enter all pickup/delivery details with a minimum of training.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has eight branches across all mainland states providing sales and service support on Driver Control Stations, weighbridges and weighbridge software.
