Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch recently custom manufactured and commissioned a Batching Console at the Construction Chemicals plant in Adelaide. The Batching Console provides automatic and manual control for filling eight ingredients including cements and polymers.
Based on a Ranger 5100 intelligent batching indicator and mated with a PLC, this Batching Console accurately fills each of the required ingredients into the travelling skip which is mounted on industrial load cells. The Batching Console also controls the operation of the mixer, transfer screws and the discharge of materials after mixing is complete.
The Batching Console is panel mounted into a dustproof Rittal enclosure which also contains all the associated switches, interlocks and selection switches required for the automatic operation and the full manuals over-rides for each function of the Batching Console.
The Ranger 5100 batching indicator has automatic in-flight adjustment for each ingredient and provides extensive batch reporting for each batch run; including target weight settings, actual batched weigh and weight variances for each ingredient. The batching indicator also provides daily/shift production reports as well as full material usage reports for each ingredient.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in mainland states providing sales and service support on Batching Consoles, batch controllers and full PC based batching systems.
