Gourmet Garden is using an Accuweigh supplied batch controller to regulate the flow of food pastes in a bag-in-box filling line at their Palmwoods Operation on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Commissioned by Accuweigh Brisbane South branch, the batch controller is used to package the company’s food products into large bags for use by restaurants and catering companies.
The batch controller has fast and slow filling stages for increased throughput while maintaining high filling accuracies. The batch controller is configured for automatic batching operation but has a pause function at the end of each fill cycle requiring the operator to press a START button after bag-in-box is manually connected to the filling head.
The batch controller has the ability to record and store all individual filling records including target weights, achieved weight, error deviation, batch number and operator ID. At the end of each shift, full details of product throughput including number of bags filled and total product used can be viewed, printed or exported from the batch controller.
