A bagging system is currently being used by a large Victorian stockfeed supplier for filling stockfeeds into open mouth bags.
Accuweigh’s bagging system is Australian Made and manufactured in stainless steel for use in diverse applications.
Accuweigh’s bagging system is based on an Accupak GB50 open mouth bagger which is gravity fed and fitted with a pneumatically operated radial swing catch-gate assembly. The bagging system has two stages coarse and dribble feed control of product for optimum bagging speed and while also achieving high weighing accuracy.
The bagging system was installed and commissioned by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch and the scope of supply also included a bag closing. From the bagging system, the filled bags are automatically released on to the motorised conveyor to the bag sewing line for the Newlong DS-9C Sewing Machine to automatically sew the bag then cuts the cotton chain thread ready for the next bag. After each filled bag is dropped, the operator places another empty bag on the pneumatically operated bag clamp assembly commencing the next filling cycle.
