An axle weighbridge ensures trucks leaving the Total Transport Logistics Brooklyn freight depot in Melbourne are conforming to legal load limits.
Commissioned by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch, the axle weighbridge is installed in a shallow pit at ground level for easy truck access.
Manufactured with a heavy duty steel deck measuring four metres long by three metres wide, the axle weighbridge has a weighing capacity of thirty tonnes and is fully trade approved. Four heavy duty weighbridge load cells are mounted under the axle weighbridge with access to the load cells provided by metal hatches built into the weighing deck.
The axle weighbridge ensures the company’s trucks are not being accidentally overloaded prior to leaving the depot. Accuweigh’s axle weighbridge also assists with compliance with Mass Management requirements to allow trucks to legally carry heavier payloads.
A digital weight indicator configured for axle weighbridge transactions can generate weight tickets and also relays the weight indication to a large digit remote display to enable drivers to also see their axle weight readings from within the truck.
