A Truck Wheel Wash was recently commissioned at SITA’s Advanced Resource Recovery Facility at Raymond Terrace in New South Wales. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch, Accuweigh’s Truck Wheel Wash is being used to wash all vehicles leaving the plant to eliminate trackout onto public roads.
Accuweigh’s AccuWash Truck Wheel Wash
is designed to thoroughly clean the wheels, tyres and underbodies of vehicles
without requiring the services of an operator. Operation of the Truck Wheel
Wash is fully automatic with the wash cycle initiated by a sensor detecting vehicles
as they approach the Wheel Wash.
To allow collected water to be reused,
the Truck Wheel Wash is fitted with a Hydrocyclone Centrifugal Separator which removes
silt, sand and dissolved solids from the water holding tank. To further improve
water quality, an optional disc filter was also fitted to remove very fine
particles from the water to eliminate potential pitting of vehicle paintwork
and damage to underbody components caused by suspended particles under high
pump pressures.
The AccuWash Truck Wheel Washer features an automatic
sludge scraper to remove sludge, soil and large organic material from the water
holding tank during every wash cycle. The sludge is discharged into an external
collections bin which is easily removed by a forklift or end loader.
Accuweigh’s extensive industry

Washing solutions for each and every truck wash application. Our eight branches
across mainland states are staffed by fully trained staff to provide Superior
