A checkweigher was recently supplied to a components supplier by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch.
The checkweigher was installed into the client’s counting/packaging line to ensure all pre-packed products contain the correct number of parts.
As the components are used in the automotive industry Australia wide, accuracy is of the utmost importance. An AccuCheck 08D3 checkweigher was supplied due to its capability of weighing the parts with minimal mass, such as lightweight seals, gaskets and washers. The lightest items to be check weighed weigh just 2.59 grams each and are supplied in a pack of 16 with the packaging materials weighing as much as the components themselves.
Accuweigh’s checkweigher is providing a high degree of customer satisfaction for the client’s customers by ensuring each and every package contains the correct number of individual components as specified. Each part is first counted by a mechanical sorter/counter, then conveyed to a Vertical Form Fill Seal machine (VFFS) for packaging and then over the inline checkweigher as a final check to ensure correct package weight (and item count).
An automatic reject mechanism removes packs not conforming to specification from the production line and stores them in a locked rejects bin to prevent accidental re-contamination. Accuweigh provides checkweighers for every check weighing application fully backed by sales and service branches in all mainland states.
