WHEEL WEIGH PADS EXPORTED TO ZIMBABWE

Wheel Weigh Pads were recently exported to the African continent in an attempt to minimise grain losses during road transportation to rural areas.

Supplied by Accuweigh’s Salisbury branch in Brisbane, the wheel weigh pads are used for weighing trucks on their arrival at their destination.

Due to ongoing discrepancies in the volume of grain being weighed into trucks compared to what was being received, the wheel weigh pads enable the trucks to be weighed again at the rural destinations in a bid to identify grain loss during transit.

One pair of Accuweigh’s wheel weigh pads, the weighing electronics and a printer were supplied to perform the second weight check. Accuweigh’s wheel weigh pads are fabricated in aircraft grade aluminium for lightness and durability with each weigh pad fitted with wheels at one end to allow it to be wheeled into positioned rather than requiring lifting and carrying.

The weighing electronics for the wheel weigh pads and a printer are securely mounted inside a heavy duty transportable carry case along with the 10m long cables to the weigh pads. A rechargeable battery powers the weigh pads and the printer to allow for operation in remote areas.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with eight branches spread over all mainland states providing Australia-wide sales and service support on wheel axle scales, axle weighbridges, in-motion axle weighing systems and weighbridges.
