Wet Area Scales
Three sets of wet area scales were recently supplied to the Raptis & Sons Seafood Processing Plant in Colmslie, Queensland. Accuweigh’s Salisbury branch supplied the wet area scales in a 6kg weighing capacity replacing existing wet area scales that were no longer economical to repair.
A&D’s FS-Ki wet area scales are fitted with three large and bright check weigh status lights to clearly indicate the weight of each pack of seafood as either UNDER, TARGET or OVER. The setpoint target lights eliminate the need for the operator to read the displayed weight readings for greatly improved product throughput.
An integrated analog sweep display in these wet area scales is ideal for use in manual filling operations are the operator can track the fast moving percentage completed graph with greater accuracy that when using the digital display only. Up to 100 memory allocations are available for storing commonly used product weight details.
These wet area scales are rated to IP65 as both waterproof and dustproof and feature very fast weighings with stable weight readings achieved within 0.5 seconds. Powered by an internal rechargeable battery offering up to 80 hours operation, the SF-i series of wet areas scales are fully portable.
