Wet Area Scales are being used for high accuracy weighing of dough at the Stuart Bakery in Alice Springs. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch, the Wet Area Scales have a stainless steel body and weighing pan to allow for the regular cleaning in the food preparation area.
The A&D SK-WP Wet Area Scales are rated as IP65 (waterproof and dust proof) and are ideal for use as bakery scales due to their high accuracy and extreme portability. With a total mass of less than 2kg, these Wet Area Scales are fitted with a large Liquid Crystal display that is easy to read under all lighting conditions.
Normally powered by a supplied AC/DC power adaptor, full portable operation of the SK Wet Area Scales can also achieved by fitting 6 x D cell batteries for up to 1200 hours of cordless operation. An auto power off function eliminates battery drain when the scales are not being used and is complemented by a low battery indicator to warn the operator when the scales need recharging.
