A weighbridge service was recently performed for Advanced Metal Recyclers in Capalaba by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane.
This QWM manufactured concrete deck weighbridge was serviced at the beginning of the usually hot Queensland summer period, tested with certified test weights and the certified for trade use.
Regular weighbridges service is required to ensure optimum load cell life expectancy can be achieved. Critically important items of a weighbridge service include:
- Cleaning and greasing the hardened steel load cell pendles and load cell cups which support the entire weight of the weighbridge and vehicles. The entry of dust and water causes pitting of these metal components and can quickly lead to weighing errors if the mating profiles are changed in any way.
- Adjustment of the weighbridge end stops to ensure correct end-to-end clearances of the weighbridge deck(s) are maintained. The length of most weighbridge decks expand & contract due to seasonal temperature changes and excessive clearances causes pre-mature wear of the load cells.
Accuweigh/QWM has eight branches across Australia specialising in weighbridge service, weighbridge repairs and weighbridge certifications by trained and experienced weighbridge service crews.
