Weighbridge Extension Minimises Expenditure.

Weighbridge Beams Being Manufactured

Accuweigh's Southern Region General Manager, Jason Ferguson, recently won the order to extend the existing weighbridge at Unigrain's Smeaton site in Victoria.

The existing 18 metre long Toledo weighbridge will have a new 10 metre weighbridge grafted on to one end for a new overall lenght of 28 metres to cater for the longer B-Double trucks now commonly used by most transport companies.

Accuweigh will be fitting Flintec stainless steel loadcells under the new weighbridge to perform the weighing duties. The existing Toledo indicator will be removed and both weighbridges will be fitted with Australian Made Rinstrum R5000 digital weight indicators and then a Rinstrum 6700 summing unit will be used to totalise the weights.

A Rinstrum D740 high visibility remore display will be fitted at one end of the weighbridges to allow the truck drivers to see their truck weights also.

Accuweigh has branches across Australia with the capabilities to extend most weighbridges as an economical alternative to budgeting for a complete new weighbridge to cope with the ever increasing length of transport vehicles.
