A Weighbridge Display was recently fitted to an unattended weighbridge to allow truck drivers to check their vehicle weights before initiating a weighing transaction. Supplied by Accuweigh QWM branch in Brisbane, the Weighbridge Display was fitted to an existing weighbridge for Arkwood Organics at Cecil Plains, west of Toowoomba.
The Weighbridge Display is positioned on the weigh hut to allow the drivers to see their truck’s weight readings from within the truck. For double trailer combos, the truck is split weighed by taking two weight readings which are then com bined by the supplied weighbridge software. The Weighbridge Display uses high visibility 120mm red LED digits to show the current weighbridge weight reading and is visible in both broad daylight and at night at distances up to 100 metres.
This Arkwood Organics plant at Cecil Plains uses the Weighbridge Display when receiving truckloads of waste byproduct from Gold Coast Waste Treatment Plants with the waste byproduct then distributed to local farmers for improving soil conditions.
