Accuweigh’s stainless steel platform scales were recently exported to a food processing company in Indonesia for weighing laden food trolleys.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch, the platform scales use a drop centre design with the load cells mounted around the perimeter of the lowered weighing platform. The weighing deck of Drop Centre Platform Scales is only 25 mm above ground level for easier access of heavily laden trolleys which can be difficult to manoeuvre.
The raised load cell sections on the sides of the platform scales act as a buffer to help trolley placement. To conform to food standards, all metal work of the platform scale and ramps were manufactured in stainless steel.
As these platform scales are to be used in a wash down environment using aggressive detergents and water at high temperatures, fully waterproof weighing components were required to eliminate potential water ingress:
- HBM Stainless Steel Load Cells which are Hermetically Sealed to IP68 with laser welded seams
- An Accuweigh X-320 IP69 indicator using a capacitive keyboard with the entire front panel constructed as a single piece to eliminate seams and joins that could break down or leak.
Accuweigh has an extensive range of scales and weighing equipment to suit every possible weighing application fully backed by eight branches across mainland states provides full after sales service and support.
