Accuweigh’s QWM branch recently retro-fitted weighbridge load cells at a Monier quarry in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Due to Monier’s pressing production requirements, Accuweigh’s QWM branch were allowed only two days on site to complete the entire weighbridge load cell conversion, including testing and calibration.
The original double ended beam load cells fitted to the aging weighbridge were regularly failing due to extensive rusting allowing moisture to penetrate the protective housing of the load cells. QWM’s Ryan Paroz attended site with pre-manufactured load cell mounting brackets to minimise potential problems with fitting the new column type weighbridge load cells.
Eight AccuCell load cells were retro-fitted to the eighteen metre long concrete deck weighbridge. Accuweigh’s weighbridge load cells are fully manufactured in stainless steel with an IP68 rating for full waterproofing to prevent any future load cell corrosion problems at this busy quarry.
After completing the weighbridge load cell retro-fit, Ryan also installed and commissioned three PC’s fitted with Accuweigh’s Quarry Weighbridge Software to allow Monier to generate extensive management reporting of all products leaving the quarry. A concrete batching system was also serviced and tested while Ryan was on site at the client’s request.
Accuweigh/QWM has fully trained weighbridge crews located in all mainland states providing competent after sales service support on weighbridges of all brands and capacities.
