Two sets of portable scales are used for ensuring the correct weight of pies and pasties straight from the oven.
The portable bench scales verify that all Balfour’s pastry products conform to the quality control processes in force at Balfour’s bakery in Dudley Park, South Australia.
Accuweigh supplied A&D Mercury’s portable bench scales with a capacity of 5000g with 1g weight divisions. The SK model portable scales are lightweight and battery powered making them ideal for relocating to the various areas in the bakery where weighing duties are required.
A&D’s SK-5000 portable bench scales have active temperature compensation that allows them to be operated under varying temperatures while maintaining correct and accurate weight readings. To conserve battery life, the SK portable scales are also fitted with an Auto Power Off function to allow the scales to enter Sleep mode when not being used after a few minutes.
