Industrial scales were recently installed for weighing medical waste at Stericorp’s branch in South Australia.
The 240 litre wheelie bins containing the biohazardous waste are weighed on the industrial scales to track the volume of waste being received for disposal from the various medical facilities.
Accuweigh’s Salter branch in Victoria supplied the Australian Made Salter Truedec industrial scales that are trade approved and fitted with an A&D digital weight indicator. The weight readings are then transmitted from the indicator to a local PC to allow invoices to be generated based on the weight of waste received over the industrial scales.
Accuweigh/Salter custom manufactured the industrial scales in a size to suit SteriCorp’s weighing application and also provided non-slip access ramps which were rigidly attached to both ends of the industrial scales for easy bin access.
