Accuweigh’s Adelaide recently upgraded an industrial metal detector at Cheetham Salt’s plant in Adelaide. Industrial metal detectors are being used to ensure the company’s bags of commercial salt are free from metal contaminants.
An aging Ramsay metal detection system was upgraded by the fitting of one of Prisma’s industrial metal detection heads to ensure ongoing compliance with Cheetham’s stringent quality control program. To ensure their quality control processes were not compromised during the change-over, Accuweigh loaned the client an industrial metal detection system to use during the interim period.
Accuweigh is the exclusive Australian agent for the Italian built Prisma range of industrial metal detectors. The Prisma’s MFN industrial metal detectors operate using multi-frequencies to provides higher scanning accuracy over a much wider range of products than fixed frequency metal detectors. In this application, the Prisma industrial metal detector is also checking bags of wet salt which many other brands of metal detectors are not generally capable of.
