Patient Weigher Being Repaired and Calibrated

Accuweigh’s QLD branch recently repaired and calibrated two sets of patient weighers for Brisbane’s Royal Brisbane Hospital. These patient weighers are portable units that are designed to lift immobile patients in a sling suspended from a loadcell to accurately gauge the person’s weight.

The patient is placed in the sling of the patient weigher and the battery powered electric ram lifts the patient to a safe height to enable an accurate weight reading to be taken with a minimum of fuss and stress on the patient.

These Haycomp patient weighers are manufactured in SA with a capacity of 200kg using an A&D digital weight indicator connected to a rigidly mounted PT loadcell. The A&D digital weight indicator is fitted with 6 x AA alkaline batteries to allow the patient weigher to be operated away from mains power.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all states offering full service, repairs and calibrations on all types of hospital and medical scales and weighing equipment.
