Two sets of Accuweigh’s floor scales were fitted with framework by the client for holding bulk bags that are being filled with hay.
A setpoint indicator is used to control the feeding of hay into the bulk bags positioned on the floor mounted platform scales.
To minimize expenditure, both floor scales are filled alternately by the same setpoint indicator using setpoint outputs, control buttons and external relay logic to ensure correct filling operation. This sequencing allows the plant operators to remove the filled bulk bags while the bulk bag fitted to the alternate floor scale is being filled with hay.
Accuweigh’s floor scales are hot dip galvanised and measure 1200mm x 1200mm with a trade approved weighing capacity of 3000kg. Accuweigh can supply manual and automatic bulk bag filling equipment, but in this application, the client was more then capable of controlling the filling processes using his own equipment.
