A set of Avery Bench Scales were recently supplied to Brisbane City Council for categorising samples of waste taken from resident’s wheelie bins.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane, the Avery bench scales are used for weighing the waste after it has been sorted in waste types.
Brisbane City Council uses the data from the bench scales to determine the comparative volume of waste expected to be sent into landfill or redirected to recycling centres. The figures are then used as a guide for estimating the future waste needs of council ratepayers. The Avery HL122 Digital Bench Scales are fully trade approved and this unit was supplied in a 300kg capacity with increments of 0.1kg to enable high accuracy weighing to be obtained.
The HL122 Digital Bench Scales uses a very robust metal frame and was ideal for this application as it is also able to be used from multiple power sources:
1. AC/DC Plugpack operation from mains supply
2. Internal re-chargeable battery operation
3. Replaceable dry cell battery operation
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all mainland states.
