Industrial Scales
Four industrial skip bin scales were recently installed for the new desalination plant at Tugun on the Gold Coast. Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch supplied the four sets of large industrial scales for weighing skip bins containing the sludge by-product of the desalination process.
These industrial skip bin scales are fully galvanised and measure 8 metres long by 2.4 metres wide with a weighing capacity of 30 tonnes. Raised side beams are fitted to the low profile industrial scales for guiding the skip bin into position while loading and unloading from a hook truck.
The industrial skip bin scales will ensure each skip bin is fully loaded for increased carrying efficiency during removal from site while at the same time also ensuring the hook trucks removing the skip bins are not exceeding the legally permitted axle and truck weights while travelling on public roads.
