Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch recently commissioned dual bag in box fillers to semi-automate the filling of margarine for Atlantic Pacific Foods’ Rutherford plant.
The bag in box fillers utilise Rinstrum 5100 intelligent batching indicators which are connected to stainless steel A&D Mercury baseworks fitted under the overhead filling nozzles. As the entire setpoint batching system is regularly washed down, both bag in box fillers are mounted inside a stainless steel control box fitted with waterproof operator buttons and a clear viewing window.
The bag in box fillers use photoelectric sensors mounted above the scale bases to ensure the boxes and drums are in position before the setpoint indicators initialize the flow of margarine.
