Accuweigh Weighbridge for Brisbane Tunnel Project
The Accuweigh QLD branch recently won the contract for supplying a 26 metre weighbridge for controlling and tracking the volume of material being escavated from the tunnel.
The North-South Bypass Tunnel project is approximately 6.8 kilometres in length from end to end and includes a 4.8 kilometre tunnel as well as associated road connections.
The prestigeous Brisbane tunnel project required an 80t, 26m x 3m weighbridge suitable for weighing B Double trucks with an above-ground weighbridge design being used due to its minimal foundation requirement.
The Accuweigh weighbridge will be installed away from the tunnel, on industrial land at Eagle Farm where the removed rock will be stockpiled for future use.
Accuweigh won the order because of our proven ability to provide a quality weighbridge within the required time frame at the allocated budget price.
