Accuweigh's Brisbane branch recently supplied their new design A500 floor scales to replace aging floor scales with two failed loadcells at Comet Fresh’s Rocklea plant.
The loadcell failure in this “alternate brand” of floor scales was caused by badly designed loadcell mounting brackets that trapped moisture and scraps around the loadcells - causing premature corrosion and eventually loadcell failure in the floor scales.
Accuweigh’s A500 floor scales are fully hot dipped galvanised using “clean” loadcell mountings that are designed not to trap water or waste products; which leads to an extended operating life in wet conditions.
This fully Australian made, A500 floor scales are ideal for all typical industrial and commercial weighing applications and the design is very favourable to mounting these floor scales in a pit. The A500’s fully galvanised, all-steel construction with multiple cross bracing eliminates deflection under load ensuring it can withstand the rigours of hard use far longer than cheaper floor scales.
