The AccuCheck MDB is a Metal Detector ideally suited to the detection of iron filings in food products due to its use of a magnetic field. Detection of spherical iron, 1mm or smaller, is possible with the smaller mouthed unit (100mm x 300mm). The final sensitivity of the MDB Metal Detector is ultimately determined by the characteristics of the product being inspected.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
As the product enters the opening of the MDB Metal Detector, it through a powerful magnetic field. Any ferrite particles present in the product change the magnetic field generating an imbalance in the field that is amplified and alerts the operator or process line rejection system.
