A specialist hay supplier recently commissioned Accuweigh to convert one of their hay trailers into a mobile weighing platform to allow them to tighten stock control on hay movements from the paddock and also from the storage shed to the process plant.

Accuweigh's on-board weighing expert, Stuart Knight, selected the PM 1200 digital weight indicator to perform the weighing duties and matched it with high specification PM loadcells to ensure a high accuracy and extremely durable on-board weighing system was achieved.

The PM on-board 1200 digital weight indicator was installed inside a Rittal weatherproof enclosure to protect it from the elements which was then mounted to the trailer chassis in a position where it is clearly visible to the operator while loading the trailer.

Two PM 5 tonne double shearbeam loadcells are fitted between the ball race of the dolly and deck of the trailer. At the rear, four PM 30945 loadcells were mounted between the trailer chassis and the Spring hangers.
