Weighbridge Relocation
An existing Mettler Toledo weighbridge was recently relocated by Accuweigh’s Perth branch for Tiwest’s Catby Loading Facility. Extensive foundation design modifications were required to allow mineral sands to be filled into trucks while positioned on the weighbridge deck.
An end-loader fills the trucks from a large earth access ramp built up to a raised side wall of the weighbridge foundations with excess product being regularly hosed off the weighbridge deck into a deep waste trap built into weighbridge pit. A steep access ramp allows a Bobcat to enter the waste trap and remove the product build-up before it can interfere with the weighing operations of the weighbridge.
